Ghana Cedi Depreciates Against Major Currencies
The Ghanaian Cedi has continued its downward trend against major currencies in the forex market. On Friday, August 7, 2026, it recorded an average buying rate of GHS11.65 and a selling rate of GHS12.16 on the Bank of Ghana interbank market.
At forex bureaus, the Cedi is trading at GHS12.10 for dollar purchases and GHS12.40 for dollar sales. The British pound is also trading at GHS15.57 for buying and GHS16.41 for selling, while the Bank of Ghana’s interbank rate for the pound is GHS15.83.
The Euro is trading at GHS13.33 for buying and GHS14.06 for selling at forex bureaus, with an interbank rate of GHS13.55.
