Ghana Cedi Falls Below GH¢11 Against US Dollar
The Ghanaian cedi has depreciated by 1.55% against the US dollar over the past week, according to Bank of Ghana data.
The buying rate for the US dollar rose from GH¢10.94 on August 17 to GH¢11.11 on August 24, while the selling rate increased from GH¢10.95 to GH¢11.12 during the same period.
The cedi's depreciation against the US dollar pushed its value above the GH¢11 mark, marking a week-long upward movement in the dollar's value against the cedi.
