Ghana Cedi Weakens Against Major Currencies According to Latest BoG Rates

The Ghanaian cedi has weakened against major currencies according to the Bank of Ghana's (BoG) latest reference rates for September 3, 2026.

The US dollar is selling at GH¢11.3677 while the pound sterling and euro are selling at GH¢15.3907 and GH¢13.2132 respectively.

Compared to the previous update, the cedi has lost ground against all three currencies with the dollar's buying rate increasing from GH¢11.3343 to GH¢11.3563.

The pound sterling has recorded a stronger rise with its buying rate moving from GH¢15.2991 to GH¢15.3742 and selling rate climbing from GH¢15.3155 to GH¢15.3907.
