Ghanaian Cedi Appreciates Against Major Currencies on August 12
The Ghanaian Cedi has recorded a slight appreciation against major currencies on August 12, 2026.
According to Cedirates.com, a reliable platform for tracking currency rates in Ghana, the average buying rate of the cedi against the US dollar is GHS11.61, marking a five pesewa appreciation from the previous day's rate.
The selling rate has also increased by two pesewas to GHS12.16.
At forex bureaus, the cedi is trading at GHS12.10 for dollar purchases and GHS12.45 for sales.
On the Bank of Ghana's interbank market, the buying rate stands at GHS11.73 and selling rate at GHS11.75.
