Ghanaian Cedi Appreciates Against US Dollar on August 26
The Ghanaian Cedi has seen a slight appreciation against the US dollar on August 26, 2026. According to Cedirates.com, a platform that tracks daily currency and fuel rates, the average buying rate stands at GHS11.44, while the selling rate is GHS11.88.
At forex bureaus, the Cedi trades at GHS11.70 for dollar purchases and GHS12.15 for sales. On the Bank of Ghana interbank market, it's trading at GHS11.17 for buying and GHS11.18 for selling.
The British pound is also seeing a slight appreciation, with an average forex bureau rate of GHS15.20 for buying and GHS16.25 for selling. The Bank of Ghana's interbank rate for the pound stands at GHS15.25.
