Ghanaian Cedi Appreciates Against USD Amid Stable Forex Rates

The Ghanaian Cedi has appreciated slightly in value against the US dollar on Tuesday, August 18. According to Cedirates.com, a reliable platform that tracks daily currency and fuel rates, the average buying rate of the Cedi is GHS11.07, representing a three pesewa decline compared to the previous day's rate. On the other hand, the selling rate remains the same at GHS11.84.

At forex bureaus, the Cedi trades at GHS11.85 for dollar purchases and GHS12.30 for dollar sales. The Bank of Ghana interbank market also shows a stable trend with the Cedi trading at GHS10.99 for buying and GHS11.01 on the selling rates.

The British pound is trading at an average forex bureau rate of GHS14.84 for buying and GHS16.02 for selling, while the Bank of Ghana’s interbank rate stands at GHS14.92. The Euro is also stable, trading at GHS12.67 for buying and GHS13.73 for selling at forex bureaus, with an interbank rate of GHS12.75.
