The Ghanaian Cedi has experienced depreciation against the US dollar on August 22, 2026. According to Cedirates.com, a reliable platform that tracks currency and fuel rates, the Cedi recorded an average buying rate of GHS11.42 and a selling rate of GHS11.91 at forex bureaus.
The Cedi is trading at GHS11.90 for dollar purchases and GHS12.30 for dollar sales at these bureaus. On the Bank of Ghana interbank market, the cedi is trading at GHS11.11 for buying and GHS11.13 on the selling rates.
LemFi and Taptap Send are offering competitive rates for remittances from the US or UK to Ghana. For dollar purchases, they offer GHS11.15 each, while the British pound is quoted at GHS15.20 each. The Euro is trading at GHS13.03 each for remittances.
