The Ghanaian cedi has experienced some fluctuations in its exchange rates against major currencies according to the latest Bank of Ghana (BoG) data for September 2, 2026.

The cedi weakened slightly against both the US dollar and pound sterling but strengthened marginally against the euro, with the dollar selling at GH¢11.2781, the pound at GH¢15.2559, and the euro at GH¢13.0739.

This movement is in contrast to Databank's projection that the cedi could trade within a range of GH¢10.95 to GH¢11.76 against the US dollar in September, suggesting a relatively stable outlook for the local currency.

The latest BoG rates are based on average interbank exchange rates used by commercial banks for transactions at the close of business on Tuesday, September 1, 2026.
