Ghanaian Cedi Fluctuates Against Major Currencies on August 31
The Ghanaian Cedi experienced fluctuations in value against the US dollar on Monday, August 31. According to data from Cedirates.com, a reliable platform that tracks currency and fuel rates, the Cedi traded at an average buying rate of GHS11.47, two pesewas decline compared to the previous day.
The selling rate also recorded a depreciation of two pesewas, standing at GHS11.92. At forex bureaus, the Cedi was trading at GHS11.75 for dollar purchases and GHS12.20 for dollar sales.
On the Bank of Ghana interbank market, the cedi traded at GHS11.24 for buying and GHS11.26 on the selling rates. The British pound also experienced fluctuations, with an average forex bureau rate standing at GHS15.19 for buying and GHS16.23 for selling.
