Ghanaian Cedi Sees Slight Decline Against US Dollar on August 18

The Ghanaian Cedi's value against the US dollar has seen a slight decline on Tuesday, August 18, 2026. According to data from Cedirates.com, the average buying rate for the Cedi is GHS11.07, three pesewas lower than Monday's rates. The selling rate remains unchanged at GHS11.84.

At forex bureaus, the Cedi is trading at GHS11.85 for dollar purchases and GHS12.30 for sales. This marks a slight appreciation in value against the US dollar compared to Monday's rates.

The Bank of Ghana interbank market also shows a stable rate, with the Cedi selling at GHS11.01 on Tuesday. The British pound is trading at GHS14.92 on the interbank market, while the Euro stands at GHS12.75.
