Ghanaian Cedi Weakens Slightly Against Dollar in Latest Bank of Ghana Rates
The Ghanaian cedi has seen a slight weakening against the US dollar in recent days. According to the latest Bank of Ghana (BoG) rates, as of August 18, the dollar is selling at GH¢11.0055, up from its buying rate of GH¢10.9945.
This represents a small increase of GH¢0.05 in the dollar's selling rate compared to Monday's rates, indicating a slight softening of the cedi against the US currency.
Economists are assessing whether the recent gains are sustainable or driven by temporary forex support.
