Global Markets Split as US Dollar Falters Against Major Currencies

The US dollar has been experiencing a tough week against certain currencies, particularly the Mexican peso. It has reached lows around 17.15, close to a massive support barrier at 17.00. As long as it stays above this level, the market is technically still in a range.

The gold market has broken out due to questions about the Federal Reserve following a huge miss in the jobs market. This has led to continued upward pressure on gold prices, with buyers re-entering the market on dips.

Meanwhile, the Dow Jones 30 has found strength, breaking above the 54,000 level and showing no signs of slowing down. The Nasdaq 100 has also touched the 30,000 mark but pulled back slightly due to resistance between 30,000 and 30,500.

The crude oil market has been negatively impacted by external noise from the Middle East, but it has bounced off the 200-week EMA, showing signs of life. The US dollar fell against the Japanese yen at the start of the week but rebounded after central bank intervention.
