Gold Edges Up Amid US Dollar Weakness
Gold prices rose by 0.3% on Tuesday as the US dollar weakened in value. This made dollar-denominated metals less expensive for buyers holding other currencies.
The spot price of gold reached $4,418.79 per ounce, while US gold futures for December delivery fell to $4,464.80. The dollar index declined by 0.3%, contributing to the increase in gold prices.
Other precious metals also saw gains, with spot silver rising by 0.3% to $66.34 per ounce and platinum gaining 0.6% to $1,836.97. Palladium rose by 0.9% to $1,401.47.
