Gold Prices Stabilize Ahead of Jackson Hole Symposium
Gold prices have stabilized after a recent rally, as investors await the keynote speech by Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh at the Jackson Hole symposium. The market is looking for clarity on inflation and interest rate policy following US Treasury bond buybacks.
The precious metal has entered a phase of consolidation after a five-day rally that lifted gold prices approximately 7%. COMEX Gold moved to $4,698 from its recent close of $4,715, while silver saw a marginal decline to $68.50.
The market is focused on the upcoming Jackson Hole Economic Policy Symposium, which runs from August 27 to August 29. Investors are particularly interested in Warsh's keynote address on August 28, as it will be his first major policy address since taking office in May 2026.
