Gold Tumbles to One-Month Low as Strong Dollar and High Yields Dominate
Gold prices began the week on a sour note, dipping by 0.85% to a one-month low of $4,253 on Monday.
The decline is attributed to broad US Dollar strength and elevated US Treasury yields, which reached above 5% for the first time since 2023 due to surging energy prices.
West Texas Intermediate (WTI), the US crude benchmark, rose above the $100 threshold, further fueling concerns about inflation and denting the appeal of non-yielding assets like gold.
