Goolsbee Confirms Inflation as Top Concern for Federal Reserve

Austan Goolsbee, the President of the Chicago Fed, echoed Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh's sentiments on the state of the economy during a recent interview at the Jackson Hole Symposium.

Goolsbee stated that inflation is currently the main issue facing the Fed, persisting longer than expected. He emphasized that 'inflation is the Fed's main issue right now.'

Goolsbee also expressed agreement with holding interest rates steady at the July FOMC meeting and noted that he doesn't have a strong opinion on the number of FOMC meetings.
