Greece's Inflation Rate Falls Below Eurozone Average
Greece's inflation rate slowed down in July, falling below the eurozone average for the first time in months. According to data from the Hellenic Statistical Authority, the Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices rose by 2.7 percent year-on-year in July, down from 3.9 percent in June.
The index also fell 1.4 percent compared with the previous month, marking a significant easing in price pressures after inflation had climbed to 4.9 percent in May.
However, it's essential to note that the lower inflation rate does not mean prices have returned to earlier levels. It means that prices are rising more slowly than before.
