Harris: Canada Will Make Concessions in Trade Deal

U.S.-Canada trade negotiations have stalled, but Rep. Andy Harris believes Canada will eventually make concessions to reach a deal with President Donald Trump.

Harris, chairman of the House Freedom Caucus, told Newsmax that Ottawa needs access to the American economy more than Washington needs Canadian trade.

'The president wants some very reasonable trade deals with Canada, and they refuse to do it,' Harris said. 'Look, the Ontario premier is wrong.'

Harris pointed out that the U.S. has been a significant trading partner for Canada, accounting for over 80% of its exports.
