Harris to Meet G20 Finance Ministers in US Amid Global Economic Concerns
Tánaiste and Minister for Finance Simon Harris is set to meet G20 finance ministers in the US as part of Ireland's ongoing EU presidency role. The two-day trip in North Carolina will include meetings with Britain's Chancellor of the Exchequer John Healey and Canada's Finance Minister François-Philippe Champagne.
The event sees finance ministers and Central Bank governors from the G20 nations meet to discuss the global economy, with additional interest this week on individual countries' energy security and financial stability. As part of Ireland's EU presidency role, Mr Harris is attending alongside European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde and EU Commissioner Valdis Dombrovskis.
