Hexcel Surpasses Earnings Estimates with Strong Q2 Results
Hexcel Corporation (HXL) reported strong second-quarter earnings results, beating analysts' expectations. The aerospace company's adjusted EPS came in at $0.66, surpassing the consensus estimate of $0.57. Revenue increased by 8% year-over-year to $529.3 million, narrowly exceeding expectations.
Commercial Aerospace sales rose 18.3% to $346.6 million, while gross margin improved to 26.1% from 22.8%. The company also reported stronger net income and operating cash flow of $96.7 million for the first six months. Additionally, Hexcel announced a quarterly dividend of $0.18 per share, payable August 17.
Several institutional investors increased their stakes in Hexcel during the quarter, including First Trust Advisors LP, which boosted its ownership by 28.7% to 235,425 shares. PNC Financial Services Group Inc. also lifted its holdings by 13.5%, while Swiss National Bank and California Public Employees Retirement System each increased their positions by 0.3% and 2.2%, respectively.
