Hillier Tapped for National Bank Defence Role
Retired General Rick Hillier has been tapped as a strategic defence adviser for National Bank of Canada. Hillier, who spent over 35 years in the Canadian Armed Forces and previously served as chief of the defence staff, will support the bank's defence and security clients.
The bank's CEO Laurent Ferreira says Hillier's perspective will be invaluable in navigating 'a rapidly evolving environment.' This includes clients in advanced manufacturing and aerospace.
Hillier notes that Canada is entering a period of significant investment in defence. He looks forward to working with the National Bank as the country strengthens its military.
