Homeowner Speaks Out Against Potential Interest Rate Hike
A Perth homeowner is speaking out against another potential interest rate hike, saying it's time for decision-makers to understand the financial burden on everyday Australians.
Balcatta resident Carly Portch says she and her partner pay around $2450 per month towards their mortgage, with a further increase likely adding at least $50 in costs.
'I think these so-called experts need to spend some time away from their big paychecks and try and live day-to-day off what we have to live off,' she said.
Ms Portch argues that the Reserve Bank of Australia should find alternative ways to control inflation, rather than relying on households to bear the brunt of rising costs.
