HSBC Experts Return to GCA Conference with Economic Insights

Garden Centre Association (GCA) has announced that HSBC experts Chris Hare and James Sawley will return to speak at their 2027 conference, following a highly successful session in January this year.

The duo's 'big picture' view of the macroeconomic landscape and deep dive into the UK retail economy was so well-received by GCA members that they have been invited back for a second time.

Chris Hare, part of HSBC's European Economics team, has extensive experience in economic forecasting and advising on the UK outlook. He will deliver insights on key economic trends and their implications for the retail sector.

James Sawley, Head of Retail & Leisure at HSBC, brings over 20 years' experience in corporate banking to his role, providing strategic advice and financing solutions to retailers across the UK. He will explore the opportunities and pressures facing retail businesses today.
