HSBC Extends Funding to 2037 with Yen Bond Issuance
HSBC Holdings plc issued three tranches of Japanese yen-denominated senior unsecured callable bonds, extending its funding to 2037. The bank announced that it had issued ¥21,600,000,000 in 2.769% Senior Unsecured Callable Bonds due September 2030, ¥25,700,000,000 in 3.227% Senior Unsecured Callable Bonds due September 2032, and ¥7,000,000,000 in 3.879% Senior Unsecured Callable Bonds due September 2037.
The bonds will be listed on the Official List of Euronext Dublin and traded on the Global Exchange Market of Euronext Dublin. HSBC stated that the bonds are not registered under the U.S. Securities Act of 1933 and may only be offered or sold pursuant to applicable exemptions.
