India Expands Multicurrency FX Services, Boosts GBP Retail Demand
The Reserve Bank of India has launched multicurrency foreign exchange services through Bharat Connect, giving retail users access to the British pound. This move expands transactional liquidity for GBP in one of Asia's largest markets and may indirectly shape flows in GBP/AUD.
GBP/AUD is trading at 1.8871 following a modest daily gain, with near-term momentum improved due to its position above key short- and medium-term moving averages.
The pair is expected to consolidate within a range of A$1.8777 to A$1.8965, reflecting typical volatility relative to current levels. The up probability is at 79%, implying that further gains are statistically favored.
