Indian Markets Poised for Positive Start Amid Global Optimism
The Indian equity markets are poised to start the day positively, following strong cues from global markets. This optimism stems from easing rate-hike fears after Federal Reserve Governor Christopher Waller indicated that a rate hike would not be warranted if underlying inflation continues to moderate.
However, traders may remain cautious due to foreign institutional investors (FIIs) turning net sellers on Thursday, offloading equities worth Rs 2,345.87 crore.
The Indian government is also making progress in trade agreements, with the Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal stating that the details of the Bilateral Trade Agreement (BTA) with the US will be announced once Washington offers preferential terms compared to the country's competitors.
