India's Rupee Invoicing Policy Gives Boost to AUD/LKR Exchange Rate
The Indian government has introduced policy changes that allow exporters to invoice and receive payments in rupees for trade with all countries, including Sri Lanka.
This move is expected to streamline settlement channels for Sri Lankan trade and improve cross-border transaction efficiency and operational liquidity.
As a result of this change, the Australian dollar versus Sri Lankan rupee (AUD/LKR) exchange rate has been trading near its intraday high at LKR236.05, with strong buyer momentum.
The pair is expected to consolidate within LKR234.87 to LKR237.23 over the next two to three days unless a breakout occurs.
