Inflation Rate Eases Slightly to 3.1% in Ireland

Ireland's annual inflation rate dipped to 3.1% in July, according to the Central Statistics Office (CSO), slightly easing from June's 3.2%. This still outpaces the Eurozone average of 2.8% for the year ending June.

Energy costs remain a significant driver of inflation, despite falling by an estimated 1.7% in July. However, they are 6.5% higher than a year earlier.

The CSO's Anthony Dawson noted that food prices increased by 0.3% over the month and 0.8% compared to July 2025.
