Iran Announces New Currency Exchange Rates Amid Ongoing Economic Pressures
The Central Bank of Iran (CBI) released official exchange rates for foreign currencies as of September 13, 2026. According to the CBI's announced rates, the value of 45 currencies went up, while 1 currency fell compared to September 12.
The official rate for $1 is 1,639,034 rials, and one euro is valued at 1,901,074 rials. On September 12, the euro was priced at 1,894,334 rials.
The CBI adopted the SANA system for currency exchange offices, where one euro costs 1,901,074 rials and $1 costs 1,639,034. The black market rates are significantly higher, with $1 worth around 2.34-2.37 million rials, and one euro valued at 2.71-2.74 million rials.
