Iran Seeks Unity Amid Escalating US Economic Pressure
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has urged unity among officials and citizens in the face of increasing US economic pressure.
The call for national cohesion comes as Washington ramps up sanctions, with an 'Economic D-Day' regime aimed at severing all economic lifelines that sustain the Iranian regime and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
The rial hit a new all-time low of over 2.25 million rials per US dollar on Saturday, while the US military bombed an oil tanker near Kharg Island, further exacerbating Iran's economic decline.
Pezeshkian stated that his government will not make abrupt policy shifts in response to economic measures, which he believes are designed to create division and unrest within the country.
