Iranian Rial Hits Record Low Against US Dollar Amid Escalating Economic Pressure

The Iranian rial has reached an all-time low against the US dollar, with the greenback surpassing 234,000 tomans in Iran's free market on September 10.

This marks a continuation of the steep decline in the value of the Iranian currency, which had previously hit 232,700 tomans on the previous day and rose by 0.64% to reach 234,190 tomans in early trading.

The surge in US dollar rates has been accompanied by significant increases in other foreign currencies, including the euro, which was quoted at 273,040 tomans, and the British pound, which reached 318,000 tomans.
