Iran's Central Bank Updates Currency Exchange Rates Amid Market Fluctuations
The Central Bank of Iran (CBI) has released updated currency exchange rates as of September 1, 2026. The official rate for $1 is now 1,591,460 rials, while one euro is valued at 1,848,785 rials.
A total of 36 currencies saw their value increase compared to August 31, while 10 currencies declined. The US dollar and British pound both rose in value, with the dollar increasing by 5,905 rials and the pound by 4,991 rials.
The Iranian currency has been subject to fluctuations on the black market, where one euro is currently worth around 2.44-2.47 million rials, and $1 costs approximately 2.1-2.13 million rials.
