Iran's Central Bank Updates Exchange Rates for August 1
The Central Bank of Iran (CBI) has released new official exchange rates for foreign currencies as of August 1. According to the CBI, the value of 46 currencies increased compared to July 30. The official rate for $1 is now 1,472,440 rials, up from 1,465,690 rials on July 30.
The rates for other major currencies also saw an increase. One euro is valued at 1,668,377 rials, while one British pound is worth 1,983,012 rials. The CBI has adopted the SANA system for currency exchange offices, where one euro costs 1,761,839 rials and $1 costs 1,529,770.
On the black market, $1 is trading at around 1.92-1.95 million rials, while one euro is valued at 2.22-2.25 million rials.
