Iran's Supreme Leader Praises Government's Response to 'US-Israeli Aggression'
Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei praised President Masoud Pezeshkian's administration for addressing public needs during a period of what he called 'US-Israeli aggression and blockade'. In a message issued on Friday to mark Government Week, Ayatollah Khamenei commended the government's efforts under difficult circumstances.
Ayatollah Khamenei emphasized that despite US sanctions and blockades, including the third imposed war, the government had taken measures to provide goods and services needed by the people, repair damaged areas, and manage energy. He also highlighted the importance of domestic production in addressing economic challenges, such as inflation.
The Supreme Leader called for a reduced role of the US dollar in economic transactions and urged greater reliance on domestic production. He emphasized that preserving national unity and social cohesion is a fundamental priority and commended government employees and managers for their efforts during this time.
