Ireland's Services Sector Expands Amid Wider Eurozone Headwinds

Ireland's AIB Services Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) rose to 55.4 in August from 55.2 in the previous reading, indicating a slightly faster rate of expansion in the services sector.

The index has remained above the 50 threshold that separates growth from contraction, showing continued momentum in Irish service providers despite wider European economic headwinds.

This sustained strength is expected to contribute to sticky services inflation, keeping the European Central Bank cautious about cutting rates too quickly.
