Iuka State Bank Enters Written Agreement with Regulators
Iuka State Bank and its parent company, Iuka Bancshares Inc., have entered into a Written Agreement with federal and state banking regulators. This agreement requires the bank to take extensive corrective actions in areas such as corporate governance, lending practices, capital planning, liquidity management, internal controls, and Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering compliance.
The Federal Reserve Board announced the enforcement action on July 30, 2026. The underlying Written Agreement was executed on July 15, 2026, by Iuka Bancshares Inc., The Iuka State Bank, the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, and the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.
The agreement does not impose a civil monetary penalty nor allege criminal misconduct by the bank or its officers. Instead, it establishes legally enforceable requirements designed to address regulatory concerns and improve the institution's overall safety and soundness.
