JA Canada Surpasses Record Number of Youth Served Through Financial Literacy Programs
Junior Achievement of Canada (JA Canada) has been working to prepare young people for the global economy through various programs. As youth unemployment rates reach an all-time high, JA Canada is delivering a record-breaking number of financial literacy and work readiness learning experiences. The organization aims to provide 1 million student learning experiences each year.
With the support of corporate, foundation, and community partners, JA Canada delivered over 540,000 financial literacy, work readiness, and entrepreneurial learning experiences to youth across Canada during the 2025-2026 academic year. Nationally representative surveys show that 81% of young people have a better understanding of careers and how to prepare for the jobs of the future after participating in JA programs.
The organization's partnerships with various organizations, including Capital One, RBC, Enterprise Mobility, CIBC, BMO, Z Zurich Foundation, Coca Cola Canada Bottling, TD, Rossy, Wealthsimple Foundation, and KPMG, have helped expand its reach and impact. These partnerships have provided young people with access to practical skills, volunteer mentors, and hands-on career exploration opportunities.
