Asia's financial markets are bracing for a crucial week ahead, with several key events and announcements set to shape the region's economic outlook.

The global spotlight will be on the Jackson Hole Symposium, which kicks off on Thursday and runs through Saturday. Investors will be closely watching for any hints of a change in the US interest-rate path, as expectations around US rates have a significant impact on currencies and bond yields across Asia.

Locally, Thailand's central bank is expected to hold its benchmark rate at 1% on Tuesday, while South Korea and the Philippines will make their own rate decisions on Thursday. Bank of Japan Deputy Governor Ryozo Himino may also provide insight into the timing of a potential rate hike in September or October.

The Tokyo inflation data release on Friday could also be a market mover, with consensus expectations pointing to 1.9% for August's Tokyo CPI and 1.7% for core CPI.
