Japan's wholesale prices increased by 7.2% in July compared to the same period last year, according to data released by the Bank of Japan (BOJ). This growth reflects rising costs for essential services such as electric power, gas, and water.

The BOJ stated that the increase in prices of goods traded between companies slowed down from a revised 7.3% in June, marking the first decline in five months.

Import prices surged by 29.1% year-over-year, while export prices jumped by 18.9%, highlighting the ongoing impact of global market fluctuations on Japan's economy.
