A Japanese woman has been arrested for allegedly placing over 2,000 fake orders worth billions of yen through an online store. Mayu Yoshida, a 32-year-old woman, used around 230 fictitious accounts to place the orders on the online store of major anime company Shueisha.

The orders were reportedly worth around 4.3 billion yen ($2.7 million) and included merchandise linked to popular anime series such as Naruto and One Piece.

Yoshida allegedly selected cash-on-delivery as the payment method, but when the products arrived at her address, she would refuse to accept or pay for them.
