Japan's Bitcoin ETF Market on Track for $18.4 Billion
Japan is on track to launch its first Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs), and analysts expect the market to accumulate $18.4 billion by fiscal 2028.
This target, estimated by XWIN, represents a modest 0.13% of the $14.6 trillion in savings held by Japanese households.
The potential inflows into Bitcoin ETFs would amount to almost negligible 1% relative to the size of Japan's equity investment fund market.
Three sources are expected to drive this growth: retail investors, institutional capital, and domestic financial giants such as SBI Holdings.
SBI aims to attract 5 trillion yen in assets under management within three years through its proposed range of ETFs, including a dual fund based on Bitcoin and XRP.
