Japan's Core Inflation Holds Steady Amid Slowing Price Pressures

The Bank of Japan (BOJ) has released data showing that Japan's core inflation rate remained steady at 2.7% in June, mirroring May's numbers.

This is according to BOJ data, which also revealed a core-core CPI estimate of 2.0% for the same period.

The core-core CPI estimate excludes energy from its calculations and provides a clearer picture of underlying inflation trends.

The figures show that while core prices have continued to hold high, there is some evidence of a slowdown in price pressures, particularly in the core-core reading, which has been trending downward since peaking at 3.6% last July.
