Japan's Record Intervention: 82.930 Billion Euros to Bolster Yen

The Ministry of Finance in Japan has made a significant move to support its currency, allocating an unprecedented 82.930 billion euros (15.4 trillion yen) to operations in the foreign exchange market in August.

This is the second time this year that the ministry has intervened in the foreign exchange market, following a similar action in May where it allocated 63.170 million euros (11.73 trillion yen).

The intervention was made between July 30 and August 26, with exact dates to be revealed later in a quarterly report.
