JR Global REITs has made significant progress in reducing its currency hedging-related debts. According to recent announcements, the company paid off some of its settlement obligations early, taking advantage of a decline in the value of the euro against the won.

The total debt related to exchange settlement stood at 207.9 billion won as of September 4th, down from 349.4 billion won at the end of May. This reduction is largely due to the early settlement of some of its currency hedging contracts with banks.

As a result of this early settlement, JR Global REITs' guaranteed debt to banks in the future was reduced from 185.8 billion won to 44.3 billion won.
