King Charles III to Appear on New Canadian $20 Bill in 2027

The Bank of Canada has announced plans to introduce a new $20 bill featuring King Charles III in late February 2027. The note will have a vertical layout and include upgraded security features that change appearance when moved.

The design of the front of the bill showcases flowers from each province and territory, along with a window created in consultation with the Bank's Indigenous Advisory Circle. The back of the bill keeps the Vimy Memorial to honor Canadians who served at Vimy Ridge.
