Kyrgyz Som Strengthens Against Most Currencies on August 28

The National Bank of Kyrgyzstan has set new official exchange rates for various foreign currencies as of August 28, 2026. The KGS strengthened against most currencies during this period.

The US dollar's exchange rate remained unchanged at 87.4500 KGS, while the euro depreciated by 0.19% to 101.8661 KGS. This decline is a result of the euro falling from 102.0585 to its current value.

The Russian rouble and Kazakh tenge also weakened against the KGS, with the former declining by 1.0% and the latter by 0.84%. The Chinese yuan, however, saw a slight strengthening of around 0.008%, rising from 13.0123 to 13.0133 KGS.
