Kyrgyzstan Currency Exchange Rates: Ruble and Euro Decline

The Kyrgyzstani som has experienced fluctuations in its exchange rate against other major currencies. As of September 2, the US dollar's official rate remains unchanged at 87.45 soms. The euro, however, has declined to 101.8312 soms from a recent peak.

The Russian ruble has significantly weakened and reached a new low in 2026, with an official rate of 1.0172 soms, representing a decrease of 1.34 percent. The average exchange office rate for buying is 0.948 soms, while selling is at 1.044 soms.

The Chinese yuan has updated its historical maximum twice in the past week but corrected slightly to 13.0125 soms, with a minor decrease of 0.01 percent. The Kazakh tenge continues to decline after August peaks, trading at 0.1881 soms.
