Kyrgyzstan Updates Exchange Rates: Euro Gains, Rouble Falls
The National Bank of Kyrgyzstan has set new official exchange rates for foreign currencies, effective as of August 11. The euro rose by a modest 0.33% to reach 101.1009 KGS. This represents a slight increase in the value of the euro compared to the previous rate.
The Kazakh tenge also saw an uptick, rising by 0.86% to trade at 0.1876 KGS against the Kyrgyz som. Meanwhile, the Chinese yuan gained 0.06%, reaching 12.9676 KGS.
However, not all currencies fared well against the Kyrgyz som. The Russian rouble fell by a small margin of 0.11% to exchange at 1.064 KGS. The US dollar's rate remained unchanged at 87.45 KGS.
