Kyrgyzstan's Currency Exchange Rates See Significant Changes Amid Global Market Shifts
The currency exchange rates in Kyrgyzstan have seen significant changes on September 11. The Chinese yuan has set a new record for the second consecutive day against the som, reaching an all-time high. The Kazakh tenge has also reached record values for 2026.
The Russian ruble and euro are showing steady growth, with the ruble increasing by 1.34 percent to a new monthly maximum at 1.03 soms. The official exchange rate of the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan is higher than the average rate at exchange points in Bishkek.
Meanwhile, the US dollar remains stable, with no change in its official rate of 87.45 soms. However, the Kazakh tenge has seen a significant increase, reaching a new annual maximum at 0.1937 soms.
