Lam Calls for Joint Efforts to Drive Growth with NZ
The New Zealand, Vietnam Business Roundtable was held in Auckland on August 13 as part of President To Lam's state visit to New Zealand. The event aimed to strengthen bilateral economic ties between the two countries.
New Zealand Minister of Trade and Investment Todd McClay noted that the relationship has developed into a dynamic partnership spanning trade, education, investment, science, innovation, and people-to-people exchanges.
The minister highlighted Vietnam's fast-growing economy, market of over 100 million people, young workforce, and deep integration into global trade. He emphasized the potential for cooperation in high-tech agriculture, health technology, education, research, and skills development.
General Secretary and President Lam called on businesses from both countries to upgrade agricultural and food cooperation through green value chains, focusing on smart agriculture, biotechnology, deep processing, cold-chain logistics, traceability, and branding.
